This project came about to expand the production capacity of the Nestle Agbara plant to meet their plans for the decade. It required fitting the plant in a courtyard fully surrounded by production and warehouse buildings. Having prepared the design to house production facilities, the next challenge was how to execute construction under tight constraints including the height of the building at 31m. This resulted in a narrow selection of contractors based on their equipment and management including the ability to pump concrete from about 100m away from the site, the use of mobile cranes which were also needed for lifting heavy vessels to heights. There was also the need to build a gantry when the boom of the crane of particular interest was the logistics around the construction site.
